What you will be doing

  • Maintain strong cost control with use of processes and systems.
  • Verify and gatekeep all invoice payments across all vendors before payment
  • Verify all costs against agreements made with vendors
  • Ability to sense check and raise issues pertaining to expense before payment
  • Ensure the correct approvals are sought for every expense
  • Track department wise spending against budgets
  • Run appropriate analysis with the aim of driving cost optimizations
  • Vendor negotiations to bring down expenses
  • Assist accounting team in closing monthly books, verify all cost lines, guide corrections or accrual requirements

What do we need

  • CA / MBA (Finance) with 3 – 5 years of experience in a fast paced environment with experience in controlling costs, setting up SOPs and scaling up systems
  • Extremely detail oriented with a penchant for identifying even small errors
  • Not afraid to maintain and track costs at the most detailed / ground level
  • Resourceful and able to find data or answers without hand holding
  • Ability to work with department leaders in a professional manner
  • Proactive to investigate any hint of past of future issues with expenses
  • High ownership mentality to help reduce costs for the company
  • Ability to think with a business mind on how to optimize spending
  • Must be extremely fast with data and excel
  • Working knowledge of Netsuite is a plus
